Meet the Founders

We are four women from different corners of the world - Brazil, India, the UK, and Germany -brought together by India, a shared love for seva (selfless service), and a deep connection to the yogic path. Despite our different backgrounds, personalities, and strengths, we found unity in a common purpose: to uplift and empower girls and women who have faced adversity.

Each of us brings unique skills - creative vision, social work, education, project management, and most importantly, an unshakable belief in transformation. We complement each other, balancing compassion with action, wisdom with practicality, and vision with dedication.

Together, we are building a future where every girl and woman has the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive. We know that transformation is not just a dream — it is something we build, together, every day.

Nanda is a dreamer and achiever. Her journey began at just 15 when she took her first job in finance, laying the foundation for a career spanning business, marketing, project management, and sustainability. Her work has always been guided by a deeper purpose: to create meaningful changes.

A defining moment shifted her path toward philanthropy, leading her to Africa, where she worked to uplift communities. She built a support network for fisherwomen in Zanzibar, provided opportunities for orphaned children through education and fundraising, and helped strengthen small NGOs across Uganda, Tanzania, and Mozambique.

Her journey then took her to India, where she deepened her commitment to gender equality and started a new career in gardening. Through this initiative, she weaves together the principles of empowerment and nature’s healing power to create lasting impact. Today, she co-founded Vikas Bloom, a testament to the strength of women - past, present, and future. It stands as a tribute to her mother and grandmother, whose resilience taught her that no obstacle is too great when met with courage and determination.

Nanda Lima, Founder & Director

Jyoti is a driving force behind the NGO, bringing deep empathy, resilience, and lived experience to our mission. Her journey to independence began when she bravely freed herself and her daughter from an abusive marriage.

With nowhere else to go, she found shelter at a rescue home, where she stayed for four years. Her desire to create a future for her daughter became the source of motivation that helped her overcome the difficult days within the institution and find the strength to start over.

Today, she balances multiple roles, working at a physiotherapy practice and a beauty salon. She has built a self-sufficient life, creating a safe and loving home for herself and her daughter.

Jyoti’s personal transformation drives her commitment to helping others on their path to independence. She understands firsthand the challenges of rebuilding one’s life and is dedicated to helping women navigate this journey with confidence. Her strength, perseverance, and compassion make her an inspiring role model.

Jyoti, Co-Founder & Social Impact Leader

Lea is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment, bringing her diverse experience and a deep connection to India to this mission. With a background in clinical research, she has spent years leading projects and working closely with teams to create meaningful change. In addition, she has built a fulfilling career as a yoga mentor, helping individuals find balance and purpose in their lives.

Her journey to India began in 2008, where she developed a strong bond with the country and its people, learning the power of giving through Bhakti Yoga. Lea believes that true transformation comes from both personal growth and collective action. She is driven by the desire to give back to the world and to make a lasting impact.

Living a location-independent life between India and Europe, she feels privileged to share the lessons she has learned and use her experiences to uplift others. Through this NGO, she is committed to empowering and uplifting women in need, aiming to create lasting change and opportunities for those facing hardship.

Lea Le Mang, Co-Founder & Secretary

Claire is a keen collaborator, working with creatives, visionaries, dreamers and doers to bring ideas into reality. With a background in designing and developing NGO volunteer programs, she has extensive experience in leading teams toward a shared mission. Alongside her professional work, Claire has been an active volunteer for most of her life, drawn to support projects that aim to uplift people oppressed by dominant political, cultural and economic systems.

Claire’s commitment to empowerment and her own personal transformation led her to ART International - a global authentic relating training company - where she currently serves as Director of Operations. Her role requires her to oversee and develop the company operations worldwide, working sensitively within diverse regional contexts.

Claire first visited India in 2016 for the first ever Transform Projects and developed a deep affinity to the people and place. Vikas Bloom, the young girls and women at the rescue home, and the team remain close to her heart.
